So, we were all super excited and nervous about court on wednesday. Well, it looks like the wait will be even longer. Ugh. I talked to my attorney on the phone today, and the hearing will be postponed for at least a month. I'm furious! I won't know the actual date until next wed. I won't have to go to court that day, but my attorney will go in my place. I guess he is going to ask the judge to simply send her home since it's been 9 months. I have also done all that's been asked of me.
I also don't think that I had updated that we found a neurologist to testify on my behalf. He is in the process of going through all of the medical records for me. That's part of the delay in the trial.
I'm super sad, but am trying to remain optimistic. Maybe she'll be home we'd, but I won't hold my breath. I just hope and pray she makes it home in time for her first birthday.

Oh mommy, I'm so effing angry. It is ridiculous that they have sat on this for so long when you have complied with everything they asked, baby beautiful has thrived, and you have provided SO much evidence of your innocence. I'm fuming right now. I hope you sue the state for everything you can so that baby beautiful's college is paid for. Then write your book and work on a law so that no mommy and baby ever has to go through this again.
ReplyDeleteI am sooooo sorry. It breaks my heart for you and your baby beautiful. Stay strong and know that all of us are keeping you in our prayers. Next Wed we should all light a candle for your baby to be returned to your loving care. God Bless You Both...
ReplyDeleteI was just sent to your blog, I have read every entry (I should've been in bed an hour ago but had to read it all). I am sitting here with my jaw on the floor. I am speechless (and if you knew me at all you'd know that doesn't happen often). 2 things stand out to me: 1. How disgusted I am with how you're being treated and how obvious it is that this is "payback" and single parent discrimination.
ReplyDelete2. How lucky you are that you still get to see your beautiful daughter every day.
I can't wait to read your update that will be overflowing with joy when you get your daughter home. And I can't wait to read the news one day and see "XXX's law" being passed!
Best of luck to you and your daughter.
Its a shame that you baby girl was ripped from your arms when there are so many real cases that need this kind of attention in this state. I hope your baby is put back in your care very soon. I don't know what I would do with out my daughters and I too had my twins a very tramatic way. thankfully they were perfectly fine, but if dcfs would pay more attention to the neglectiful, druggie, real abusive parents then there wouldn't be so many babies dying or injured in this state. I would love to know where to sign the pettiton for your law I can get everyone I know to sign for it. my heart goes out to you and wish you the best of luck on the 13th.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet Casey Anthony walks... An example of our justice system. Hang tight Momma.
